Gentleman and big boy

Jo went up to CK to deliver some Mottos yesterday—that in itself is quite the story: He received a phone call from a woman who had seen the calendar at another shop and was interested in getting three for friend’s upcoming birthdays. Jo had some other business to do so he went up. It turns out this woman had photocopied (black and white) the whole Mottos calendar! Someone had torn out favorite quotes from the color one, so she was missing pages and she was thrilled to have her very own copy in color and with all the quotes!

Anyway, since he was in CK anyway, he dropped by the house and picked up some things including some of Jordan’s toys among them his little handyman set which he hasn’t played with since the move. Last night, the question was which toy he’d take to cuddle with him: the hammer or the drill! Boys and their toys! Since he enjoys falling asleep in my bed still, many a night I’ve gotten into bed after moving to be pinched by a car, truck or other such device. CC tried to convince him to take her cuddly cat, which he accepted, but the drill was still clutched in his hand when I went to move him later on, ha!

Jordan is such a gentleman though. The other day when Cherise was taking down the stack of six little boxes of picture facts to show him in the living room, he comes over and says, “That’s heavy, let me help” and proceeded to take two boxes to carry down. I thot it was so cute that even though he’s still so much smaller than her and can only help a bit, he wants to help his sister.

Don’t just look at the circumstances; look above and beyond them!

The great thing to remember is that, though our feelings come and go, His love for us does not.
