about the kids

Happy Birthday, my Princess!

She’s an amazing character, and looking back over the years in photos, it’s very clear that she always has been. She relates to Alice and dances to her own tune. Her sense of humor can have me laughing, even when I try not to! She has a soft heart, but can get tough on her siblings if they mess around too much, ha! I now officially have a real teenager, she acts more like it every day. She melts my heart with her insight and care; and yet drives me appropriately crazy with her moods and temper. I love my CC so much! Praying that she’ll be up to the challenges this year and all that it has to offer.

Her last birthday, in Bangalore!
Dressing up on her own…she’s always been into making her own fashion statements, it seems 🙂
Matching with her little sister. It’s easy to see how protective she is!
Monkeying around isn’t just something Jordan does!
Such girls! These were her good friends for some time.
Oh the innocence of childhood!

Day at the Zoo

Don’t worry, I won’t post pix of the animals; Cherise is taking care of that, ha! We had a great time, the weather was perfect, and there was just so much to see and do. Here are the best pix of us 😀

Awwww, cute!

My kids are too funny! She had to pose in her afraid face of the snake 😛

There were animal statues everywhere, it wasn’t easy getting good pix because of the shade.

Fly on the wings of an eagle!

Wow! A picture of Jordan, making a normal face!

Aslan? Is that you?

Feeling safe 🙂

There was one section that was set up the way the zoos used to keep animals. We could walk around inside, there were a lot of pictures, etc. It showed how their cages were too small, sometimes dirty, and not pleasant for the animals at all!

A huge part of the zoo was destroyed in Feb ’45, which meant that the new cages were made better, but this is what it used to be like.

The real lion!

Monkey area for the kids!

Just monkeying around 😀
